One of the most eco-friendly and luxurious communities in Dubai, the Dubai Water Canal plots master plan offers a waterfront resort with every amenity imaginable. The main goal of the Master Plan was to transform the Bur Dubai/Jumeirah area into an island by extending the ancient Dubai Creek from Business Bay to the Arabian Gulf. The length of the canal is 3.2 kilometers, and its width is 80 to 120 meters.
The project raised the Sheikh Zayed Road bridge and built additional ones to facilitate the flow of the waterway and the transit of private yachts and ferries.

It is an impressive man-made canal that completely changes the look of downtown Dubai. Starting from Dubai Creek, it travels inland through vibrant Business Bay. It then flows strategically around the lush Safa Park and parts of the Jumeirah district before crossing beneath the main artery of Sheikh Zayed Road. Opening and closing times for the Dubai Canal are not specified. However, from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., you can visit the breathtaking Dubai Canal waterfall. It has motion sensors that detect when a boat or abra approaches. If this is your first time visiting the Dubai Canal, it is recommended that you stop and see the waterfall. There will be a lot of people, but it will be worth it.
The project cost approximately $1 billion (AED 3.7 billion).
You can visit the Water Canal at any time of day or night. The Sheikh Zayed Bridge waterfall is only open from 8 to 10 p.m.
